Helmed by Master Tailor Chung Chi Kwong and his daughter, Adele Chung, who joined the family business in 2018, the 48-year-old brand continues to grow while preserving its timeless values of craftsmanship and exacting detail.

Spearheaded by Adele Chung, Uncommon Hem utilises surplus luxury fabrics — some with over a decade of history — that are transformed into refined and expressive tailored pieces catered to a designconscious audience, honouring their origins while reimagining their potential.
From striking contemporary qipao tops to bespoke casual menswear and couture-inspired statement pieces, Uncommon Hem offers an edgier yet refined alternative to traditional bespoke tailoring.
Adele Chung, Founder and Bespoke Designer of Uncommon Hem, says: “When I joined the family business, I was clear that I wanted to carry on my father’s legacy, more importantly to share my father’s tailoring tales which continues to inspire me. Uncommon Hem is my way of celebrating what my father and mother have built, while imagining how tailoring can evolve for the next generation. Adele envisions the space as a hub for creative collaborations, with plans to host intimate workshops and showcase the work of local designers and makers. On 2 August, the studio will host a bespoke artisanal tea exploration workshop in collaboration with SayangMe Tea, offering participants a sensory experience of tailored tea blends.
